SOLAR PANELS AND RENEWABLE ENERGY

SOLAR PANELS AND RENEWABLE ENERGY

Solar Panels are the devices that can convert Sun’s energy into electrical energy. Sunlight is the renewable source of energy. The solar panels are made up of solar cells. It was first invented in 1941.

BENEFITS OF SOLAR PANELS IN CONSUMING RENEWABLE ENERGY

The solar panel uses a renewable source of energy. And the cost of production of the energy through light is cheaper. The maintenance cost of the solar panel is very less. And the wear and tear is very slow. India stands in the 4th position on renewable power capacity globally.

The renewable energy capacity of India is136GW. This is almost 36% of all other country’s capacity.

TYPES OF PANELS

They are of three types.  One is monocrystalline, next is polycrystalline and the last one is thin-film. All the three are unique in themselves. All of them have their own properties.

MONOCRYSTALLINE- It has high efficiency. Its performance rate is very high.

POLYCRYSTALLINE- Its cost is very low.

THIN-FILM- It is portable. Along with this property this is flexible also. Its weight is light.

USES OF RENEWABLE ENERGY THROUGH SOLAR PANELS

These days’ uses of solar panels are wide in electronic goods like calculators, street lights, solar cookers, solar water heaters, solar inverters, solar parks, etc. All the governments across the globe are taking a large number of initiatives to promote the solar system business. This is for commercial and household purposes. As the number of the population are increasing day by day.

Second, the decline in fossil fuel rate pushing the people toward better alternative source of energy. This is solar energy.

The solar energy domain is continuously enhancing in the technology field. It enables easy use by the user. The solar photovoltaic capacity surge again by almost 14% in the year 2019 reaching the record of 109GW of newly installed capacity globally. The annual installation grew by 50% in the last year according to International energy agency.

SMART SOLAR TECHNOLOGY

Smart solar technology is also getting its grip to increase the output efficiency of the devices. If you use this smart solar technology then it can pay return you after 7 to 9 years. And this depends on the installation conditions. Even it depends on the location.

The government of Rajasthan has planned to set up a 30,000MW solar plant in Rajasthan. Along with this the government is also promoting the establishment of an ultra mega renewable energy park. Kerala produces only 30% of the electrical energy. And consumes the rest from the other states. So the government had installed a floating solar plant and this plant is more efficient than the one installed in the land due to the moderating effect of the water.

The government of India announces a huge renewable energy deployment plan of about $20 Billion per year. According to the latest survey across the region, the new investment in renewable energy will be 23% lower costs than coal energy.

CONCLUSION

By 2030 the cost of renewable energy will be 56% lower than coal energy. India is an expense leader in solar energy due to cheap labour and good availability of renewable resources
